The Atlanta Falcons went 7-9 last year and missed the playoffs as a result. However, it was a very interesting way too go 7-9. They went 1-7 over their first eight games, had a bye in week 9, and then went 6-2 over their last eight games winning their last four. This offseason, The Falcons lost some of their star players in the previous years. The Falcons lost Austin Hooper to free agency and also released Devonta Freeman and Desmond Trufant. However, they did sign former superstar running back, Todd Gurley, to a one year deal. If he can return to what he used to be, the Falcons could be one of the most dangerous offenses in the league with Matt Ryan, Todd Gurley, Julio Jones, and Calvin Ridley. I expect the Falcons to win some games due to their explosive offense but their defense is too weak to make them serious contenders this year. below is my regular season prediction for the Atlanta Falcons.

I have the Falcons going 7-9 this season just as they did last year. The Falcons best win comes in week 13 against the Saints. These two division rivals have fantastic battles twice every year and I don't think this one will let us down. I have the Falcons winning in a shootout to put make them .500 for the first time all year. However, the next week, the Falcons playoff chances take a huge dip. i have the Chargers upsetting the Falcons in week 14. I think the Chargers defense hold the Falcons offense in check which leads the Chargers to a win.
