The Ravens season came to a very abrupt end last year after going 14-2 in the regular season, earning the number one seed and a bye in the AFC, and then suddenly getting obliterated at home by the Tennessee Titans. Lamar Jackson, the reigning MVP of the league, will look to get his team back on track and make a playoff run this year, not just bye and done. The ravens added two key players to their defense this season in first round pick, Patrick Queen, and veteran pass rusher, Calais Campbell. They also drafted star running back, J.K. Dobbins. This is going to be a very explosive team and one that is very tough to beat. Below is my regular season prediction for the Baltimore Ravens.
Week 1: vs. Cleveland Browns - win
Week 2: @ Houston Texans - win
Week 3: vs. Kansas City Chiefs - win
Week 4: @ Washington Redskins - win
Week 5: vs. Cincinnati Bengals - win
Week 6: @ Philadelphia Eagles - win
Week 7: vs. Pittsburgh Steelers - win
Week 8: Bye Week
Week 9: @ Indianapolis Colts - loss
Week 10: @ New England Patriots - win
Week 11: vs. Tennessee Titans - win
Week 12: @ Pittsburgh Steelers - loss
Week 13: vs. Dallas Cowboys - win
Week 14: @ Cleveland Browns - loss
Week 15: vs. Jacksonville Jaguars - win
Week 16: vs. New York Giants - win
Week 17: @ Cincinnati Bengals - win
I think the Ravens will have another incredible regular season starting of 7-0 and then finishing with a 13-3 record. Two ravens games (vs. Chiefs in week 3 and vs. Cowboys in week 13) were mentioned in my NFL Season Preview. If you want to read about those games click the following link https://bxyfalcon.wixsite.com/website/post/2020-nfl-season-preview. There are plenty of other exciting games on the Ravens schedule though. One game I'm really looking forward to is when they host the Titans in week 11. This is a rematch from last years AFC Divisional round where the Titans and Derrick Henry got the best of the Ravens. I think this game will be very different and I don't think the Ravens will have a problem handling the Titans. I think it is a great bet that Derrick Henry totals less than 200 yards in this one. Another great game will be when the Ravens visit the Cleveland Browns in week 14. This will be a much needed win for Cleveland to keep them relevant in the playoff hunt and I think they will come out strong. I have the Browns upsetting the Ravens by a score in a exciting divisional matchup.
*At the end of this series, once I have gone through every team, I will give my playoff predictions as well as season awards.*
