Divisional Round Predictions

Today I will be going through my divisional round predictions for the 2020 NFL Playoffs. I will get right to it.

AFC

Houston Texans (11-5) @ Kansas City Chiefs (14-2)

These two teams met in the divisional round last year as well as opening night of the season this year. Both those games did not go to well for the Texans. Neither of those games ended well for the Texans. Unfortunately, I don't think this one will end well for them either. Mahomes and the Chiefs offense is just simply too much for the Texans to keep up with. They should have no problem winning once again. Chiefs win 38-24.

Buffalo Bills (11-5) @ Baltimore Ravens (13-3)

This is arguably the biggest game in Lamar Jackson's career as he tries to get over the hump and reach his first conference championship. It's unfortunate that he is playing against the Bills who have a great defense. I think Lamar goes off for one big run in the second half that crushes the hopes of the Bills. This game should be competitive throughout however. Ravens win 24-13. They will face the Chiefs in the highly anticipated AFC Conference Championship that unfortunately was not able to happen last year.

NFC

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (9-7) @ Dallas Cowboys (13-3)

The last time the Cowboys went 13-3 and earned home field advantage throughout the playoffs was in 2016 when Dak Prescott was a rookie quarterback under Jason Garrett. Mike McCarthy's Packers came into Dallas and "upset" the Cowboys. Now Mike McCarthy is the Cowboys head coach. Facing Brady and that explosive offense will certainly be hard for the Cowboys to handle but I don't see how the Bucs will contain the Cowboys offense either. Cowboys win 33-27. Brady's hope of making a the big game without Belichick by his side are crushed as he throws an interception similarly to last year to seal the game.

Green Bay Packers (11-5) @ Seattle Seahawks (11-5)

This is a rematch of last year's divisional round in which the Packers beat the running backless Seahawks in Green Bay by a small margin. The Packers are riding high now after getting revenge on the 49ers in the first round but they don't know what they're in for in Seattle. I think the roles will flip from last year's game. Seahawks will get off to a big early lead and Packers will attempt to catch up but ultimately run out of time. Seahawks win 24-18.

AFC Conference Championship

Baltimore Ravens @ Kansas City Chiefs

NFC Conference Championship

Seattle Seahawks @ Dallas Cowboys

Tomorrow's blog will cover these two conference championships to make sure to look out for it.
