Baseball is back. Allegedly. Apparently to some blue check Twitter accounts the owners have agreed to an original deal that was proposed back in March. All I care to know is that its a 60 game season. Technically the players haven't agreed to it yet so its not official but at this point if the players say no then they look like the assholes so there's a 99% chance we will have baseball in 2020. So what's wrong with baseball you may ask. Phil Mushnick is what is wrong with baseball. And old New York Post Big J Journalist wrote a column about how Pete Alonso created a shirt that said LFG Mets. Old Man Phil didn't like that the shirt had the letter F in it which clearly stands for the "vulgar" word, fuck. The fact that this is what is being written about in the sports section of the New York Post just shows that we are living in an extremely messed up world. But cmon man. You are everything that is wrong with the MLB. The fact that you are so desperate for content that you need to write about a shirt that says LFG on it and then bash Pete Alonso is just messed up. This is why the average baseball viewer's age is 60. Baseball guys like Phil are constantly complaining that no young fans are attracted to the game and this is the exact reason why. Why is that the average person won't recognize a top 5 MLB player walk down the street? Because people like you are ruining aMeRicAS pAsTImE. No hard feelings Phil.
