Indianapolis Colts Season Outlook

The Colts 2019 season from a Colts' fans perspective was over before it even started. Just two weeks before the start of the season, their franchise quarterback Andrew Luck retired at the early age of 29. Luck said how playing football did not allow him to live the life he wanted and that he therefore no longer enjoyed playing the sport. Jacoby Brissett was then forced into the starting role and he led the team to a 7-9 record. I think the Colts had a very solid offseason. They signed veteran quarterback Philip Rivers and traded their first round pick to acquire one of the league's best defensive tackles in Deforest Buckner. They also drafted wide receiver, Michael Pittman Jr., and running back, Jonathan Taylor, with their two second round picks as well as Jacob Eason, a quarterback out of Washington who they are hoping can learn a lot from Philip Rivers. I think the Colts will be able to compete in the AFC South this year. Below is my regular season prediction for the Indianapolis Colts.

Week 1: @ Jacksonville Jaguars - win Week 2: vs. Minnesota Vikings - win Week 3: vs. New York Jets - win Week 4: @ Chicago Bears - loss

Week 5: @ Cleveland Browns - loss Week 6: vs. Cincinnati Bengals - win Week 7: Bye Week Week 8: @ Detroit Lions - win Week 9: vs. Baltimore Ravens - win Week 10: @ Tennessee Titans - win Week 11: vs. Green Bay Packers - loss Week 12: vs. Tennessee Titans - loss Week 13: @ Houston Texans- loss

Week 14: @ Las Vegas Raiders - win Week 15: vs. Houston Texans - win

Week 16: @ Pittsburgh Steelers - loss Week 17: @ Jacksonville Jaguars - win

I have the Colts going 10-6 just like everyone else it seems. One of the Colts biggest wins comes at home against the Ravens in week nine. I think this will be a very competitive and high scoring game. It's a shame because although the Ravens are a better team than the Steelers, beating the Steelers would be a much bigger win because it would give them the head to head advantage in a wild card tie breaker if necessary. Speaking of that Steelers game, I think it will be a crazy game at Heinz field. Both teams will know the playoff implications on the line and although I don't know yet if the Colts will be eliminated after that loss, their chances will be significantly decreased. I like a Pittsburgh win in a very low scoring affair.

*At the end of this series, once I have gone through every team, I will give my playoff predictions as well as season awards.*
