Los Angeles Rams Season Outlook

The Los Angeles Rams went 9-7 last year and just missed out on the payoffs; they would have made the playoffs if there were three wild cards like they are implementing this year. It was a pretty disappointing season for the Rams to say the least. Coming off a loss in the Super Bowl a year earlier, the Rams were supposed to be one of the best NFC teams once again. Instead, the Rams were overshadowed by the dominance of their division rivals in the 49ers and Seahawks. The Rams did make a big trade for star cornerback, Jalen Ramsey, during the middle of the season to make a playoff push but that obviously failed. The Rams gave up their three picks in that trade including a 2020 and 2021 first rounder. So unfortunately, the Rams didn't draft anyone that was worth me mentioning. In addition, they lost Todd Gurley because they released him, Brandin Cooks in a trade, and Greg "the leg" Zuerlein in free agency. I think the Rams team did not get any better than it was last year, in fact maybe worse, and now with three other very strong teams in the division, I have a hard time believing that the Rams will have a good season. And what the f*** are those new uniforms and logo? Below is my regular season prediction for the Los Angles Rams.

Week 1: vs. Dallas Cowboys - loss

Week 2: @ Philadelphia Eagles - loss

Week 3: @ Buffalo Bills - loss

Week 4: vs. New York Giants - win

Week 5: @ Washington Redskins - loss

Week 6: @ San Francisco 49ers - loss

Week 7: vs. Chicago Bears - win

Week 8: @ Miami Dolphins - win

Week 9: Bye Week

Week 10: vs. Seattle Seahawks - loss

Week 11: @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers - loss

Week 12: vs. San Francisco 49ers - win

Week 13: @ Arizona Cardinals - loss

Week 14: vs. New England Patriots - win

Week 15: vs. New York Jets - win

Week 16: @ Seattle Seahawks - loss

Week 17: vs. Arizona Cardinals - win

I have the Rams going 7-9 this year in what seems like the best division in the NFL. The Rams best two wins are definitely those wins at home against the 49ers and Cardinals. Other than those two wins, the Rams other wins come against pretty bad teams. In week five, I think that loss to Washington just kills their season. I have this as Ron Rivera's first win as the coach of the Redskins. I think Aaron Donald will be pretty much neutralized and Haskins will have time in the pocket to find his weapons. The Rams definitely need this game to turn their season around but I just don't think they get it. On a more positive note, in week 14, once the Rams are already out of the playoff picture, they get their revenge from Super Bowl LIII against the Brady-less Patriots.

*At the end of this series, once I have gone through every team, I will give my playoff predictions as well as season awards.*
