This is simply disgusting and an awful look for NASCAR. For those of you who don't know, Bubba Wallace is the only African American driver in NASCAR and recently, the events in the United States in regards to racial injustice have sparked action from Bubba Wallace and his team. Bubba's car was painted in all black with the words Black Lives Matter printed on the hood. Bubba was also seen wearing shirts that said "I can't breathe" to honor the memory of George Floyd who was killed just weeks ago. Bubba has been one of my favorite NASCAR drivers for a while now and when I heard this news my heart dropped. Bubba is a great driver and an even better person and he doesn't deserve this at all. Today was supposed to be a great day of racing at Talledega and sadly due to weather the race was postponed. Now the NASCAR headlines will revolve around this latest development instead of the highlights at Talledega which is a terrible look for the sport. This news come recently after NASCAR banned the Confederate Flag from being flown at races. Good luck to Bubba at Talledega and hopefully we will never see something like this ever again in NASCAR or the rest of the world.
