Philadelphia Eagles Season outlook

Although the Eagles won the NFC East and made the playoffs in 2019, they had a very sloppy season. Personally, I was not a believer but many thought the Eagles had potential to go back to the Super Bowl and win just as they had two years prior. Carson Wentz did play all 16 games for just the second time in his career but he got injured in his first career playoff game in the first quarter; what a surprise? It is actually amazing though that the Eagles got to where they were. They did not have a single wide receiver that caught more than 500 yards all season but then again, they did play in the worst division in the league so it's not extremely impressive. Anyway, because of how much better the Cowboys got this year, I just don't think the Eagles have a chance at the division but maybe they can sneak in as a wild card and try to make a deep run that way. Below is my regular season prediction for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Week 1: @ Washington Redskins - win

Week 2: vs. Los Angeles Rams - win

Week 3: vs. Cincinnati Bengals - win

Week 4: @ San Francisco 49ers - loss

Week 5: @ Pittsburgh Steelers - loss

Week 6: vs. Baltimore Ravens - loss

Week 7: vs. New York Giants - win

Week 8: vs. Dallas Cowboys - loss

Week 9: Bye Week

Week 10: @ New York Giants - win

Week 11: @ Cleveland Browns - loss

Week 12: vs. Seattle Seahawks - win

Week 13: @ Green Bay Packers - loss

Week 14: vs. New Orleans Saints - win

Week 15: @ Arizona Cardinals - loss

Week 16: @ Dallas Cowboys - loss

Week 17: vs. Washington Redskins - win

I have the Eagles going 8-8 but I'm not sure that will be enough to make the playoffs. We will have to wait until the end of this series when I will go through all of the playoffs and season awards. Anyway, I do have the Eagles starting off 3-0 which would give them the lead over the Cowboys but that lead will be short lasted as they lose their next three. One important game to note this year is the week 11 matchup against the Browns. Both teams are trying to remain relevant in the playoff race in their respective conferences and it is a must win for both teams. I like the Browns in a very sloppy game with a couple turnovers for both teams. Another important game comes in week 14 as the Eagles who are 6-6 at the time face the Saints. The Eagles need this win once again but they are facing one of the NFC's best teams in the Saints. I think Zach Ertz ultimately carries the Birds to a win in a very competitive game that goes back and forth many times.

*At the end of this series, once I have gone through every team, I will give my playoff predictions as well as season awards.*
