Washington (CNN)The House of Representatives on Friday approved the historic $2 trillion stimulus package that passed the Senate earlier this week, overcoming last-minute drama by using an unusual procedural move to thwart a demand by a conservative Republican to force members to vote in person.
The Republican, Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky, infuriated members in both parties by bringing them back to Washington amid uncertainty over whether he would request a full roll call vote. That uncertainty forced many to travel during the public health emergency simply to deny his demand in order to ensure swift passage of the measure on Friday.
As a fan of the show Designated Survivor, it always seems scary when someone wants everyone to congregate in one space. Of course, part of congresse’s job is to all come together to vote on certain bills but during this time it seems a bit suspiocous that this Massie guy wanted everyone to come back to Washington to vote on this bill. Now that this 2 trillion-dollar bill has been passed, apparently the economy will receive a vital lifeline it needs to continue to survive. Its hard to comprehend how much 2 trillion is. To help you picture a 1 million-dollar house. Now imagine having 2 million of those houses. Well that’s how much 2 trillion is. But going back to this idiot Massie, why would he want all the congress people from all around the country to come together all in one place. This guy probably wants everybody to get the coronavirus. I suspect this man is a traitor to the us government and the us people. I demand answers.
