RBC Heritage Round Three Recap

First off, I just want to wish all the fathers reading this a Happy Father's day. Normally your gift would be the final day of the US Open but this year, its round four of the RBC Heritage and its literally anyone's game. The players played outstanding once again. 62 out of the 75 players hit under par and six of those players shot -8 the day. The record for the most 63s (-8) throughout the whole tournament was four and there were six in round three which obviously crushes the record. Heading into the final round, four players sit atop the leaderboard tied at -15. They are Tyrell Hatton, Abraham Ancer, Ryan Palmer and Webb Simpson. 17 other players are within three strokes of the lead and a total of 35 are in the double digits under par. Unfortunately, my bet with Bxyfalcon is not looking too good. Webb is tied for the lead but DeChambeau and Koepka are both sitting at -12. The odds are not in my favor but anything can happen. My sleeper Ian Poulter had another up and down day but finished -4 on the day which puts him at -13 through the first three rounds so he is definitely still in contention. Daniel Berger, last week's champion was one of the six players to shoot a 63 and he now sits at -14, just one stroke behind the lead so he certainly has a great opportunity to go back to back. Additionally, you can't rule out guys like Rory Mcllroy and Justin Rose who are both 10 under par. Perhaps, the course isn't as easy as it has been the past couple days and you see guys like Rory and Justin have dominant days like -8 and everyone else hangs around -2 or -3. At the end of the day, I am really just hoping for a playoff. Chances are we will see one given how close it is. I would love to see who can buckle down and overcome the pressure if we get lucky enough to see another sudden death playoff after last week's spectacular finish at Colonial. Have a great day everyone!
