Pretty much the Los Angeles mayor said a couple days ago that he will not open up the city until there is a vaccine found. The amount of issues with his latest statement is insurmountable. Without saying to much this guy is pretty much an idiot for saying this. The idea that his city or the country at whole should be shut down until a vaccine is found, completely is a 180 from what Fauci and the other health officials have been saying from the beginning which was once we flatten the curve, stuff can start to get back to normal. What the Los Angeles mayor is saying violates everything that we were told weeks ago. The fact is that we as a society cannot wait for something to happen to restart our lives. At some point, and I think the point is really soon, people are going to go mentally insane if they can't get back to their normal lives. This is just like going on a vacation that is extremely enjoyable in the beginning(taking a nice break from life) but then a few days into it you start to get extremely bored. Additionally, there is no guarantee that a vaccine will ever be found. Imagine if when AIDS started becoming a thing, the government said no more sex until a cure for AIDS is found. Well, the human race would go extinct. So enough waiting for stuff to happen. People need to get back to life and at some point it is a better choice to take a calculated risk of leaving your home instead of being trapped in your home and being threatened to get arrested if you leave. And if you don't want to leave your house so be it, but screw you for telling me what to do. Let me make my own decisions without you getting in the way. Thank you for your time.
