Tampa Bay Buccaneers Season Outlook

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers went 7-9 during the regular season in 2019 and missed out on the playoffs. However, they were one of my favorite team's to watch mainly because of Jameis Winston. Winston set history by becoming the first player ever to record at least 30 touchdowns and interceptions in the same season. The guy would just throw the ball and didn't care if it got intercepted which led to some spectacular plays. Winston's contract expired at the end of the season and the Bucs chose to move on without him. I truly hope I am not delivering this news to you but they signed the goat, Tom Brady. In addition, just a month later after the signing, Rob Gronkowski announced he would come out of retirement if he was dealt to the Bucs. Of course, the Patriots traded him because if they didn't he wouldn't have came out of retirement so it was a win-win for Gronk and the Pats since the patriots got a draft pick. Personally, I think Brady looked awful last year. I don't know if he's completely washed but he is certainly not even close to a top quarterback in the league anymore. I'm not believing in all the hype for the Bucs this season although they will be a solid team. Below is my regular season prediction for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Week 1: @ New Orleans Saints - loss

Week 2: vs. Carolina Panthers - win

Week 3: @ Denver Broncos - loss

Week 4: vs. Los Angeles Chargers - win

Week 5: @ Chicago Bears - loss

Week 6: vs. Green Bay Packers - win

Week 7: @ Las Vegas Raiders - win

Week 8: @ New York Giants - loss

Week 9: vs. New Orleans Saints - win

Week 10: @ Carolina Panthers - win

Week 11: vs. Los Angeles Rams - win

Week 12: vs. Kansas City Chiefs - loss

Week 13: Bye Week

Week 14: vs. Minnesota Vikings - win

Week 15: @ Atlanta Falcons - loss

Week 16: @ Detroit Lions - loss

Week 17: vs. Atlanta Falcons - win

I have the Buccaneers going 9-7 this years which puts them in the mix for a wild card spot but there is no guarantee. The Buccaneers best win comes in week 9 when they snap the Saints 8 game win streak to start the season. Brady will get his revenge on Brees from week one. It should be another shootout. Another great win is in week 17. That game is a must win for the Buccaneers to put them over .500 and make them finish 9-7. One of the Bucs' worst losses comes in week eight in new York against the Giants. The Giants have always seemed to get the best of Tom brady and i think they will again here. It should be real interesting to see if the Bucs squeak into the playoffs. They do have the head to head tiebreak over the Vikings which is huge.

*At the end of this series, once I have gone through every team, I will give my playoff predictions as well as season awards.*
